You will see some once in a lifetime Sights, Architecture & landscapes as you travel the 4000 mile round trip through France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Serbia & Bulgaria en route to Istanbul, the largest city in Turkey and the world's only city situated on two continents.
The coach ride between London and Sofia takes approximately 48 hours, however your in control of the itinerary and we can organise the hotels and guided tours of anywhere you would like to explore en route. From Sofia, it takes approximately 12 hours to reach Istanbul.
** Please note that currently the transit routes across Syria, Jordan and Israel are unobtainable. We can no longer offer an overland service to Saudi Arabia, the route must be completed by special charter ship from Greece, Via Cyprus & the Suez canal **
Top Tips
- Before leaving home for one of long haul tours, check you have packed all documents and items needed for your journey, especially your ticket, passport (it is enough to travel with ID card) and if your journey requires a special visa to enter or transit.
- Your luggage should be marked tags bearing name, address and telephone. Please weigh your luggage at home.
- Never accept other persons luggage for transport! Should you notice any luggage left unattended, never touch it! Report the fact to service staff immediately. Never leave your luggage unattended!
- Border control & customs: When going through security check, place all metal items such as keys, watches, belts with large buckles, mobile phones, walkmans, small change etc in the boxes, and place them on the conveyor belt of the X-ray machine together with your hand luggage & suitcases. It is advisable to place your overcoats in the boxes. This will streamline and facilitate security control.
